Bilkis Munshi on 08 November 2017 : Mirza Sharafat Hussain Beigh, a young Opinion Maker, Urdu Poet and English Elegist, and General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Sahara Foundation today met Dineshwar Sharma a former Intelligence Bureau Chief, who has been appointed as special Interlocutor to Jammu and Kashmir, by Government of India.
In a 20 minute long discussion Mirza Sharafat was speaking in a capacity of Spokes person of Jammu and Kashmir Sahara Foundation, which is founded and presided by his colleague Shaikh Ahsaan Ellahi. Mirza Sharafat stressed the interlocutor to re investigate the case of Asiya and Neelofar (Dual Murder and Rape) and also added that people of Jammu and Kashmir no longer believe in so called transparent investigations and inquiries into the killings of youth in Kashmir who are mostly involved in petty crimes like stone pelting.
Mirza Sharafat voiced his support for people of Jammu and Kashmir who have been deprived from basic fundamental rights including Right to Freedom of Speech and expression and Right to Freedom of Practice and Propagation of Religion. Mirza Sharafat criticized Government of India for it's silence over two serious issues. First he discussed about unholy restrictions that are being frequently imposed by State Government on Friday Prayers at Jamia Masjid Nowhatta and then made interlocutor aware about the continuous biased ban on Ashura Procession in Srinagar, where mourners are not allowed to freely hoist Islamic flag, and who are in turn being lathi charged by Jammu and Kashmir Police as if they are part of any insurgency or terrorist militant outfit.
